Junk Busters ATX

Appliance Removal in Austin, TX

The new fridge is in the kitchen. The old one is squatting in the garage with its door taped shut. Junk Busters ATX hauls dead appliances all over the Austin area — we bring the dolly, do every bit of the lifting, and make sure each unit gets disposed of the right way. Call or text (512) 866-9779 for a free quote.

Appliances We Haul Away

  • Refrigerators and freezers — side-by-side, French door, chest freezers

  • Washers and dryers, stacked or standalone

  • Stoves, ovens, and ranges

  • Dishwashers

  • Water heaters, tank and tankless

  • Microwaves, window AC units, and mini fridges

One quick ask before we arrive: have units unplugged and disconnected from water or gas. We handle the hauling, but we don't do plumbing, gas, or electrical work — your installer usually disconnects the old unit when the new one goes in.

You Don't Lift a Thing

A full-size refrigerator weighs 250 to 300 pounds. A washer isn't much friendlier, and water heaters love to live in the least reachable closet in the house. This is exactly what we're built for: dollies, straps, floor protection, slow and careful on the stairs. Garage, kitchen, upstairs laundry nook — wherever it sits, we get it out clean.

Worth knowing: plenty of delivery crews will drop off your new appliance but won't touch the old one. We're the follow-up call, from central Austin out to Cedar Park, Leander, and Round Rock.

Disposed of the Right Way

An old appliance is mostly steel, and steel deserves recycling — so that's where these units head whenever possible. Refrigerators, freezers, and AC units also contain refrigerant, and Texas environmental rules (TCEQ) require it to be properly recovered before a unit is scrapped. We route those appliances through disposal channels that handle refrigerant correctly, so you're never left guessing what's legal to do with a dead freezer. You hand it off; we handle the rest.

How It Works

  1. Call or text (512) 866-9779 for a free quote — a photo of the appliance works great.

  2. We show up, you point.

  3. We load it, sweep up, and haul it away.

Straightforward Pricing

We price by the space your items fill in the trailer, and a single appliance usually sits at or near our $150 minimum. Hauling the fridge AND the washer AND that old water heater? Still priced by total volume, not per item, so the second and third units cost less than you'd expect. Dump fees are always included, and the only exception is a single item over 1,000 lbs — think commercial equipment — which gets a custom quote. Full details on our pricing page.

Appliance Removal FAQs

Do you take refrigerators and freezers with freon?

Yes. Refrigerant-bearing appliances need special handling under Texas environmental rules (TCEQ), and we route every fridge, freezer, and AC unit through proper disposal channels. Don't leave one at the curb and hope for the best — hand it to us instead.

How much does appliance removal cost in Austin?

A single appliance usually lands at or near our $150 minimum, dump fees included. Multiple units are priced by trailer space, so bundling the fridge with the washer and dryer is the smart move. You get a firm, free quote before we touch anything.

Can you remove a built-in dishwasher or a water heater?

Yes, once it's disconnected. Have your plumber or installer cut the water, gas, and power connections, and we'll do the rest — wrangling it out of the cabinet or closet, hauling it, and disposing of it properly.

Can you get an appliance out of a garage, basement, or upstairs laundry room?

Yes. Tight turns and stairs are normal work for us, and we bring floor protection so your house doesn't pay for the trip. If it fit going in, we'll get it back out.

Do you buy working appliances?

No — we're a removal service, not a resale shop. But if a unit still runs, we'll try to donate it to local charities before recycling it. That beats a landfill every time.

Ready for It Gone?

Stop squeezing past a dead washer every time you park. Call or text (512) 866-9779, Mon–Sat 7am–7pm, or book online. Swapping appliances mid-remodel? We haul construction debris and old furniture too — often in the same load.
